Have you ever wondered when seeing a fractal image how that thing might look like in 3D?
Here you get the chance to look behind the 'scenes'.
And to add some spice I used Chris Colefax' incredible GALAXY.INC to create the backgrounds.
Just some technical remarks when you want to explore Povray fractals:
- Do not use high values for P1 to P4; the range between -1.0 and 1.0 will usually be sufficient
- max_iteration between 8 and 12 is all right most of the time; higher values mostly lead to decomposition of the fractal
- values for precision should be between 15 and 200; higher values do not lead to more details but increase rendering time significantly.
