I published a fractal images and Povray website in 2003 the first time when - besides famous Fractint - new fractal generators like MBF,
Ultrafractal and Quat appeared on the scene.
Some of the Povray/Lparser images are much older and date back to the mid nineties.
For nostalgia reasons and as those images seemed to be timeless to me I couldn't refrain from publishing those again. Just bear with me.
As development never ceases and the Povray community is still 'hyperactive' I decided - after playing around with Poser for a couple years - to give Povray a chance again.
And I do not regret this decision at all!
Still catching up with all the new features in Povray (and trying to understand Povray's SDL???!!) I dared to publish this site - not to show off my artistic capabilities - it's more like a scientist's experimental log.
So if it gets boring:
You can check out any time you like ... (but you can never leave! :)) )
Just a remark: Someone said that Povray fractals look like a lump of taffy - well, that's far from being true. Just go and see for yourself.
Here is what I have been focusing on recently:
'Experimental' Povray images: quaternion and hypercomplex fractals
L-System images created with Povray
