It is said that the 'Koch Snowflake' was one of the earliest Lsystem fractals, described by the Swedish mathematician Helge von Koch.
Thatiswhy I start here with some of those classical fractals by:
Koch, Cesaro, Levy, Peano, Gosper, Hilbert, Menger, Moore, Sierpinski
to demonstrate the plethora of shapes a 'simple' Lsystem can produce.
Many of the axioms/rules used to generate the fractals on this page come from
[P&L]
and [P&H]
Note:
By request I added some of my pov-files for those who are interested. If you want to use these files comment the last 2 items within the L_Draw brackets. Otherwise Povray will complain.
If you want to use my creations with the galaxy background you have to comment the inc-files containing the word 'Galaxy', too.
